EVENTS:
MONTHLY LECTURE SERIES
CICA is proud to present its monthly educational lecture series.
This series will be open to all students and other interested
parties, and will feature not-for-profit lectures from selected
guest speakers. All lectures will focus on topics relating to
the animation industry, and will be conducted by experienced and
distinguished lecturers. Sessions will last from approximately
60 to 90 minutes, and will cover topics such as animation
techniques, industry practices, and business strategies. CICA is
founded and staffed by distinguished industry veterans. Much
like these lectures, CICA s focus is on bringing professional
experience and knowledge to everyone.
INTERNATIONAL PORTFOLIO DAY
The
purpose of this event will be to create opportunities and
interaction for those seeking careers or information about
careers in Art, Animation, Writing, or Gaming. This event is
open to anyone including professionals, amateurs, or college and
high school students. All interested parties are welcome to join
us at our school to have their questions answered and their
works evaluated as they gain a better perspective on how to
better prepare for college entrance or job placement
This will be an opportunity for
prospective students/artists to receive immediate feedback on
their portfolios from experts who can help shape a path in
studies or careers by providing their honest opinions and
advice. To further this, CICA
will also be offering one full and
one partial scholarship for various fields of study to two
selected students/artists.
Portfolio evaluation will be
based upon:
- Originality
- Craftsmanship
- Presentation

MONTHLY FIELD TRIP TO STUDIOS
Selected parents and students will be invited to a field trip to
various local animation studios to help create a better
understanding of the professional animation environment. This
monthly trip will help students to meet actual animators while
experiencing first-hand what goes into working on a project.
Likewise, this will also help parents become better acquainted
with what might be in store for their children.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER DAY

purpose of this event will be to create opportunities and
interaction for those seeking careers or information about
careers in Art, Animation, Writing, or Gaming. This event is
open to anyone including professionals, amateurs, or college and

GLOBAL CARTOON DRAWING CONTEST
This annual contest will be open to all participants, and will
be our way of cultivating real talent while also helping to
promote the works of our students in a highly-public setting.
Winners of this contest will have major press exposure, and will
also have their works exhibited in Mr. Young Lee’s art gallery.
In addition to this, winners will also receive certificates and
prizes, one of which will be a full scholarship to CICA .
CICA SCHOLARSHIP
In addition to the above-mentioned prize for the Annual Cartoon
Drawing Contest, CICA will offer four additional scholarships
every year. Two of these will be full 100% paid CICA tuitions,
while the other two will be 50% paid CICA tuitions. All
scholarships will be determined and awarded by a selected CICA
scholarship committee.
STUDENT ART EXHIBITIONS

Each quarter, CICA faculty will select work created by students
to be exhibited at CICA 's art gallery. These
exhibitions will be attended by distinguished invited guests, as
well as by parents and other prospective students who might be
considering CICA as their future.
ALUMNI NIGHTS
These casual get-togethers will help current students meet
previous students, and hear about their success stories while
also discussing what it takes to follow the path to becoming an
animator. These events will be catered, and will be hosted by
select CICA faculty.
MONTHLY CICA
PARENT'S COMMITTEE MEETINGS
Every month, parents of CICA students will be invited to join
together in order to discuss and share ideas about student
development and curriculum. These sessions are intended to give
parents a direct channel to communicate with faculty, while also
serving to help encourage and empower them to be more active in
their child’s education.
